Methodology & sources

Figures are compiled by the Licensed EMIs editorial desk from the EBA EUCLID register and the FCA Financial Services Register, cross-checked on a weekly cadence. “Authorised EMIs on record” counts every e-money institution in the dataset regardless of current status; “currently active” counts only those whose authorisation is presently in force. Last updated 18 June 2026.
